Security Analyst

Malta

Our client is a Virtual Financial Asset provider licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority. 


The Security Analyst assists the Head Of Security in ensuring that the company adheres to its Information Security policies and procedures, legal and regulatory cybersecurity requirements.

This role is essential in making sure that the whole team is delivering the expected level of

information security and that the business is protected against cyberthreats.


As a Security Analyst, you are expected to:


  • Keep up to date with changes in the Information Security landscape

  • Develop and maintain Information Security related policies, procedures and Processes

  • Regularly review and update the internal security policies

  • Assist with the design of information security processes

  • Monitor logs and take appropriate actions when security events occur

  • Assist the teams with suggestions on how to securely execute their functions, and drive the implementation of security processes

  • Perform periodic audits of key security processes to ensure they are in line with the

policies and procedures

  • Lead internal security awareness and education campaigns

  • Assist with retaining the company’s ISO27001 standard, and other standards as necessary 

  • Own the supplier onboarding due diligence process and supplier security reviews

  • Own the internal risk register, identifying new risks to include and keeping it updated as necessary


You are expected to have:


  • Good communication skills

  • Fluent in English

  • Good understanding of ISO27001

  • Attention to detail

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and a willingness to learn

  • Ability to deal with conflicting stakeholder needs

  • A basic understanding of the cryptocurrency and financial industry
